Vision Development Plan |
|

Dear member of Lowe,
It has been almost a year now since we began our Clearing Our Vision
journey and how much have we packed in! Surveys of the local
community, video interviews at the crossroads, the course with David
Millen and Chris Hollies from Evangelical Ministries, Aims Teams, Day
Conferences and lots of prayer and talk.
Having spent so much time talking and listening, Session’s job has
been to put together all of your ideas together into one complete
picture under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If you remember we
actually talked about picture postcards of what our congregation would
look like in three years from now. Well, here they are: the next steps
we believe we need to take, in order to take us onwards and forwards
towards that postcard!

The Vision Statement we drew up together, describes our ‘three years
from now’ postcard, namely: “To do what must be done in order to
reach the whole community for Christ by becoming a loving fellowship
of Christ’s people, worshipful and open, vibrant and relevant,
expectant and helpful – a church for all the community.”
Having spent so much time thinking, talking and seeking God, we
believe that now is the time for action (in faith and prayer)! Below
you will see a list of Projects, each requiring a “Project Action
Team” to implement them. We want as many as possible of the
congregation to join up and get involved in each of the “Project
Action Teams” (or P.A.T.s, for short).
While some P.A.T.s have projects which will be fulfilled in 6 months,
others are longer in scope and will take up to 1 – 3 years. Each P.A.T.
falls within one of the six original areas we focused on under the
Aims Teams.
We hope this will excite you as much as it has excited us and together
we can build a church and ministry here in Finaghy that is worthy of
the name of Jesus.
It is time for Action. It is time “to do what must be done” in order
to reach the whole community of Christ!
